Optimum APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Shake the bottle of Exotic Metal™ Polish vigorously for 30 seconds before use and once every 5 minutes during use. This keeps the active polishing chemicals in suspension and provides maximum results with every drop.
Apply enough liquid Exotic Metal™ polish to create a "wet soup" when polishing. Let the chemical do the work! This also acts like a lubricant to make the polishing easier with less effort being required to get the same results. If the polish begins to dry up or turn into a dry paste, add more polish to bring it back to a "sloppy soup." This improves the polished results significantly!
Achieve a Micro Shine: When performing your initial polish, rub as hard as needed to polish up the surface. Then wipe all residue off and apply a second coat of Exotic Metal™ polish, using an overly thick layer of polish, almost to the point of too much. This acts as an helpful lubricant to pull the miniature scratches out of the surface. Now, ever so gently and lightly massage the same area and before the rag begins to turn black, immediately gently wipe dry with minimal pressure. This will put down a finer polish, removing any very small micro-scratches that may remain.
TIPS for MAXIMUM RESULTS
Polishing Ceramic Coat: Professionally silver coated ceramic headers or side pipes exhibit a hard, durable coating which will not be abraded or removed by the following procedure. With a fresh piece of #0000 Steel Wool (found at most hardware stores in the wood finishing section), liberally wet the wool pad with Exotic Metal™ Polish and vigorously rub the ceramic surface intensely with maximum pressure being applied to the pad. You will begin to see a brilliant chrome-like shine after a few minutes. Keep the steel wool wet with liquid polish at all times! Reapply as many times as necessary to bring out the maximum brilliance possible. The above procedure can also accelerate the results and reduce the effort needed when initially polishing oxidized aluminum or corroded metals.

Repairing heavily corroded or damaged aluminum surfaces: With a fresh piece of #0000 Steel Wool (found at most hardware stores in the wood finishing section), liberally wet the wool pad with Exotic Metal™ Polish and vigorously rub the aluminum/magnesium surface intensely with maximum pressure being applied to the pad for as long of a period is needed to remove the "crust" the corrosion process left behind. Keep the steel wool wet with liquid polish at all times! Reapply as many times as necessary to bring out the maximum brilliance possible. Then simply polish the final finish to a high luster and buff.
Severe corrosion caused by heavy oxidation due to weather and harmful road salt in snow belt states, is actually the result of the aluminum material being "eaten away" and leave pits behind where there used to be metal. While no product can "fix this" all by itself, Exotic Metal™ polish can certainly put the finishing touch on your repairs after you have completed them with a sanding procedure eventually progressing down to a finer and finer grit paper (ultra superfine grit), then finishing it off with the #0000 steel wool procedure previously outlined.
Removing Rust stains on Chrome: While severe corrosion and rust that is etched into plated surfaces such as Chrome may never be completely removed, Exotic Metal™ polish will SAFELY dissolve most of the stains and visual discoloring resulting from the corrosion. Apply a thick coating of polish to the affected surface and allow to sit for 5-10 minutes, reapplying a coated film as necessary to keep the surface wet. After allowing sufficient time for the polish to dissolve the corrosive staining, wipe off with a soft cloth. Reapply as necessary. This treatment will not harm the chrome further than the rust damage. Do not use any abrasive cloths or pads as those will scour and permanently damage the plated surfaces.
Polishing Aluminum Diamond Plate Surfaces: Running boards and side boxes can really be a challenge, but not with Exotic Metal™ polish! Soup up the polish into a liquidy pool. Use the soft side of a 4"x4" looped carpet sample you can get at any carpeting store. Rub as hard as you want. The carpeting will not rip and tear and it will get into all those tight nooks and crannies of the diamond embossments while providing just the right amount of abrasion to clean up the aluminum while the polish provides the chemicals and lubrication to reduce scratches. Then buff out with a soft cloth after removing the polish residue. The results will be amazing, and much easier to keep clean.

Joe Bergfeld from St. Louis MO says, "My Father's Day gift to myself was an afternoon in the garage with a bottle of this Magic Metal Cleaner, some 0000 steel wool, and a lot of elbow grease. They now once again look like polished aluminum wheels. Thank you for developing a great product!"
